GhazzyTV's Poison SRS Arakaali Gear & flasks (PoE Legacy of Phrecia Event)
Summary – TL;DR
Cap your Elemental Resistances and get the attributes your gems require to make sure you can use them all. There are a few unique item options however, the remaining pieces should be Rare with Life and of course any lacking attributes/resistances.
My quick list recommended approach for this build would then be:
Item Slot | Item Name | Rarity | Notes |
---|---|---|---|
Head | ![]() |
Unique | Read gear page for details on this! |
Amulet | ![]() |
Unique | |
Chest | Choice of Corrupted Rare chest | Rare | Get what you get, ideally something with armour. Make sure sockets are correct |
Gloves | Life, resistances and dexterity as needed | Rare | |
Boots | Life, resistances and if needed | Unique/Rare | |
Belt | ![]() |
Rare | |
Rings | 2X ![]() |
Rare | |
Weapon | ![]() |
Rare | |
Shield | Minion shield | Rare |
Armour Pieces
Most of the items in this build can be easily self-crafted as they don’t carry too many modifiers.
Helmet
Our choice here is pretty simple and it’s the one and only Ancient Skull. This helmet provides one of the strongest buffs to minion attack speed in the game, and that happens to be an incredible scaler for poison damage.
The two relevant rolls on this helmet are
- Minions have 20-40% reduced maximum life. Ideally, we want this to be as low as possible, to reduce our minion’s life by as little as we can. 20% might get pricy but try to avoid having 35% or thereabouts. As low as you can get on the cheap.
- Minions have #15-20% increased movement speed. More is better, but this is always good. It helps the skulls move around better and move between targets faster.
Make sure you have points in Grave Intentions on the passive tree so that your minions have chaos resistance and the degen doesn’t hurt as bad. This helmet WILL kill your minions if you don’t have Grave Intentions.
Body Armour
A corrupted 6-Link chest piece is preferable as they provide basic stats like armour/evasion/energy shield/life/resistances, A Tabula Rasa would work if you’re truly desperate, but I strongly recommend an actual sixlink with stats.
Gloves
Any pair of rare gloves works here. Just make sure it’s granting you life, some resistance modifier and ideally a dexterity roll.
Boots
We’re using these solely as a resistance bank, so resistance modifiers life and movement speed is all we want for this slot.
Shield
We’ll be using a minion shield in order to access minion modifiers.
For our purposes in this build we’ll be going for minion damage, +1 level of minion skills and a crafted resistance modifier.
There is an option to make a recovery on block shield here for more defences, but as our block isn’t capped it loses value.
Belt
In low budget we’ll be making use of a Heavy Belt to help sort our attributes easily, due to its implicit.
For the most part we’re looking for life and resistances here, nothing fancy.
Once your gear is better and you no longer need the attributes, Darkness Enthroned is as always the progression step to house more Abyss jewels.
Accessories
Amulet
We’ll be using the unique The Jinxed Juju for our amulet. It helps us with attributes, it gives us chaos resistance and it transfers some of the damage we take to our spectres, effectively giving us 10% reduced damage taken from hits. All round solid item.
The anoint you want is Death Attunement. The oils you will need for this is 1x Clear Oil, 1x
Crimson Oil and 1x
Silver Oil
Rings
We will be using 2x Bone Ring to help cap our minions elemental resistances.
Modifier priority list:
1: Maximum life
2: Chaos resistance
3: Minion damage
4: resistance modifiers of other kinds to ease pressure elsewhere
Weapon
Convoking Wand is the natural go-to fit any minion build. Initially, we’ll keep this really simple
1: minion damage
2: trigger
3: level of minion modifiers (this is not hugely important until spectres become important, so skip this early if you have to make concessions)
Flasks
Flask set-ups are almost always a matter of personal taste when it comes to what utility flasks to use. However, I will list the set-up I’ve been using for a smooth play experience. To find the available list of modifiers the flasks can have, check out these links: Utility Flasks, Life Flasks, Mana Flasks & lastly: Hybrid Flasks
The PoB is showcasing another flask set-up that works fine as well, again, this is mostly a matter of personal preference when it comes to the utility flasks.
Slot | Flask | Description |
1 | “Effervescent” ![]() |
Instant life flask that also removes bleed effects from you |
2 | “Effervescent” ![]() |
Instant life flask that also removes bleed effects from you |
3 | ![]() |

5 | ![]() |

6 | ![]() |
This would replace the Granite should you choose to run it, it helps with block |
Suffixes on flasks are very flexible. You can use them to grant extra armour, reduce effect of curses, remove poisons, grant movement speed or other useful things that you want to solve.
As for prefixes, you’d likely be best of picking charge gained when hit, but the increased duration will work in a pinch.
Remember to automate your flasks if you are new to using the bench, as you will most likely forget to press them. This is a huge boost to survival!
Jewels
We’ll be exclusively using Ghastly Eye Jewel as they provide minion related modifiers. Thanks to
Darkness Enthroned we can put our best jewels in there to further scale those modifiers. Also, note that if you’re struggling to solve attributes and/or resistances you can get those modifiers on these jewels as well.
Jewel Modifier Priority List:
1. Life
2. # to # additional chaos damage, higher numbers better
In addition, stats like
#% increased minion attack speed
#% increased minion damage if you have used a minion skill recently
are very, very strong. But they will make the jewels more expensive and should be considered luxury modifiers.
One of your abyssal jewels also need to have at least 10% chance for minions to poison to round things out.
